BAI Mysuru fetes meritorious children of construction workers

Mysore/Mysuru: Builders’ Association of India (BAI), Mysuru Centre, in association with Mysore Builders Charitable Trust (MBCT) and Spoorthi — The Ladies Wing of BAI Mysuru Centre, had organised a programme to felicitate meritorious children of the construction workers, who have secured more than 70 percent marks in SSLC and II PUC exams, at a private hotel in city recently.

The programme commenced with  invocation by Sharanya.

M. Rathnaraj, Chairman, BAI, Mysuru Centre, gave a brief report about the activities of BAI and welcomed.

Dr. L. Savitha, Senior Principal and Secretary, Kautilya Vidyalaya, was the chief guest. U.M. Gurushanthappa, Managing Trustee – MBCT Mysuru & State Chairman, BAI Karnataka, was the guest of honour.

Sharanya, S. Vasudevan, Mohan Kunte and K.C. Nanda Kumar read the citation of the 37 deserving children of the construction workers who have scored more than 70 percent marks — 25 students from SSLC and 12 students from II PUC received the honour.

The chief guest felicitated all the students with certificates, mementoes and cash prizes. 

Spoorthi President Manjula Revani Prasad distributed cash prize from ‘Saheli’ project of ‘Spoorthi’ to four topper girls. Note books, dictionary, folders were distributed to all the students and pen drives were given to II PU students. 

Naganandhini, wife of late J.V.R. Naidhruva, instituted a cash prize in the name of J.V.R. Naidhruva to two topper boys.  Mr. & Mrs. Ramprasad contributed the books called ‘Life Skill Development’ to all the students. Face mask was donated by K.S. Balaji to all the students.

Nagaraj V. Bairy, Hon. Secretary, BAI, Mysuru Centre, proposed a vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Shwetha Dinesh, Past President of ‘Spoorthi.’ List of students who were awarded Pratibha Puraskar 2020-21 is as follows:
