A three-day Bengali Food Fest began at Hotel Le Ruchi The Prince on Hunsur Road in city from yesterday.
The festival features chefs from Kolkata who would prepare traditional Bengali dishes for the residents of the city. Most of the ingredients have also been brought from West Bengal to retain the authentic Bengali taste for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
“Bengali Food Fest has been organised to add zing to the year-end festive season with a delicious spread of West Bengal cuisine,” says Shaikh Ebadat Ali, Executive Chef, Hotel Le Ruchi The Prince.
The spread includes counter savouries such as bhaja beguni, piyaji (batter fried aubergines and onions) and rohu macher masala fry.
The main course includes dishes like chingri macher malai curry, murgir kosha mangsho, rui macher kalia, pukurer kankra kosha, aloo begun chingri, cholar dal narkel diye, bari diye shukto and gee bath.
Round off your buffet meal with date jaggery rice kheer, jalebi, shahi tukda and the good old favourite, mishti doi.
