Mysore/Mysuru: Renowned littérateur Prof. Hampa Nagarajaiah (Hampana) released writer Vikram Chaduranga’s (Son of late writer Chaduranga) book ‘Smriti Samskruthika Kathana’ at a programme organised by the book publisher Samvahana Prakashana at Veene Sheshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar here recently.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Nagarajaiah said that the book is an autobiography of Vikram Chaduranga that contains memories of the family of renowned late writer Chaduranga. The book also provides an insight into the life of his father Chaduranga and contains several interesting things related to the married life of his parents — Chaduranga and Doddammanni.
Pointing out that tears will come down the eyes after reading the book where Vikram has penned down memories of his parents, he said that Vikram’s magnificent explanation will also make us remember our parents down the memory lane. Observing that the book contains several exciting and interesting lesser known facts, he said that the book which is a mix of English and Kannada languages, throws light on many issues. Maintaining that Chaduranga, who belonged to the erstwhile Mysuru Royal family, accepted challenges of life as it came, the Seer said that some of the renowned writer’s works have become stories for cinemas.
