Mysore/Mysuru: The State Government has decided to organise ‘Sadhana Samavesha’ to mark the completion of two years of Congress Government at Maharaja’s College Grounds in Mysuru on July 19, said MLC Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah here yesterday.
Addressing the meeting with the Congress party leaders of Varuna Constituency, he said various development programmes would be inaugurated along laying foundation stones.
“We have already conducted 3-4 such conventions highlighting the achievements of the State Government in the past couple of years. The programme will also highlight contributions of State Government towards the development of Mysuru district. While CM Siddaramaiah will inaugurate various welfare programmes, the Ministers concerned will lay foundation stones,” he said.
Dr. Yathindra urged the beneficiaries of government welfare schemes in KR Constituency, NR Constituency, Chamaraja Constituency and others to take part in large numbers.
Presiding over the meeting, Mysuru District Congress Committee President Dr. B.J Vijaykumar stated that based on the instructions of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah a meeting of all MLAs from Mysuru District will be held under the leadership of District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa on July 12.
Former MLA Kalale Keshavamurthy, Chamarajanagar District Congress Committee President Mariswamy, KPCC General Secretary Basavaraj, Block Congress President Tagadur Rangaswamy and others were present.
