DC directs for complete utilisation of SCSP/TSP funds

September 9, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner Dr. K.V. Rajendra has directed the officials for complete utilisation of SCSP/TSP funds meant for welfare of SC and ST communities in the current financial year and ensure that the funds do not go waste.

He was speaking after chairing a review meeting of SCSP/TSP sub-plans at Babu Jagjivan Ram Bhavan here on Thursday.

Pointing out that officials should not wait until funds are released, the DC said that they should be ready with the list of beneficiaries as this would help in providing facilities once the funds are released. Such a measure would also be helpful in preventing funds meant for  schemes going waste or unutilised, he noted.

Asking officials to suitably guide SC/ST beneficiaries in filing applications for getting due benefits, he said they should also ensure that the facilities reach all the eligible beneficiaries.

Stating that District In-charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa has introduced reading the Preamble of the Constitution, he said that the same must be implemented in all the offices of the district starting on Sept.15, for which officials should register.

Continuing, the DC directed the Social Welfare and SC/ST Welfare Department officials to identify and prepare a list of landless SC/ST families in the district. The Government will take measures for allocating land to them, he said.

Noting that several haadi inhabitants (tribal hamlets) are found to have no ration card, Aadhaar, job cards and bank account, he instructed the officials to hold camps at such hamlets and take measures for issuance of these documents.
