Dr. Uday Kulkarni to present tabla recital tomorrow

Gayana Sabha, Mysuru, has organised a tabla solo recital by renowned percussionist Dr. Uday Kulkarni  at Kalpa Kshetra auditorium in Vijayanagar 3rd Stage here on Oct. 10 at 6 pm. Vighnesh Bhagavat will provide harmonium support. Being ‘A’ Grade artiste of AIR, Dr. Uday has won many awards and titles — Ustad Amir Hussain Khan Award; Pt. Seshagiri Hangal Gold Medal; Pt. Basavraj Bendigiri Gold Medal.

He is also awarded Doctor of Philosophy in Tabla by the Karnatak University, Dharwad. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in Tabla at Goa College of Music.
