Srirangapatna: A former rowdy-sheeter, who was partying with his friends was brutally murdered with the machete he had brought along with him to assault his friend. The incident took place at Hulikere village in Srirangapatna taluk yesterday. The deceased is Sudheer (35) of Hulkikere. He was murdered by his friends during a fight at the party.

Details: Sudheer, along with his friends Poornachandra, Kumar, Vinod and Cheluvaraju were partying near a tea shop yesterday during which wordy duel ensued between Sudheer and Poornachandra.

Angered over this, Sudheer, who went home, came back with a machete and tried to assault Poornachandra, it is learnt. Meanwhile, other friends pacified the two and continued with the party. But after some time, a fight again broke out and Sudheer was hacked to death.  

Mandya SP N. Yatish and KRS Police visited the spot. Kumar, Vinod and Cheluvaraju have been arrested and the Cops have launched a hunt to nab Poornachandra who has gone absconding. KRS Police have registered a case.
