Mysuru: In separate cases, house burglars who gained entry into two houses in city have decamped with gold jewellery worth lakhs of rupees.
In the first case, burglars, who gained entry into a locked house of one Suresh on K.R. Hospital Main Road on Saturday, have decamped with gold ornaments from the house.
Suresh, on Saturday morning had locked his house and had been out. When he returned at about 4 pm, he found the door broken and on inspecting the house, he found gold ornament weighing about 384.5 grams and worth about Rs. 3.84 lakh stolen.
A case has been registered at Lashkar Police Station in this regard.
In the second case, burglars who gained entry into a locked house at Vijayanagar 4th Stage, have decamped with gold jewels from the house.
Vedavathi, the resident of the house, had locked the house on June 22 and had gone to her relative’s house. When she returned on June 29 and entered the house, she found the rear door broken and on inspecting the house, she found a gold chain, gold earring, silver articles and a LED TV stolen.
A complaint has been lodged at Vijayanagar Police Station in this regard.
