Mysuru: St. Joseph’s College of Education, Mysuru, the pioneer institute of teacher education, has organised an International Seminar on ‘Innovative and Creative Learning for a Sustainable and Inclusive World’ tomorrow (Mar. 14) in collaboration with PKM College of Education, Kannur, Kerala.
The Seminar will give an opportunity to ensure the synchronisation of ideas of higher education, in the light of UN Sustainable Development Goals, by international and national delegates, research persons, professionals, researchers and budding teachers from various colleges across the country and the world.
The International Seminar will be inaugurated at 9.45 am tomorrow. Rev. Fr. Edward William Saldanha, Secretary and Correspondent, MDES, will preside. Dr. M. Prabhavathy, Associate Professor and Director (in-Charge), Centre for Differently Abled Persons, Bharathidasan University, Tamil Nadu, will be the chief guest. Rev. Fr. Naveen Kumar, Treasurer, MDES and Seby Mavely, CEO, Training and Development, MDES, will be present.
The Resource Persons are Dr. Wondifraw Dejene, Associate Professor of Curriculum and Instruction, Dire-Dawa University, Ethiopia; Dr. M. Prabhavathy, Associate Professor and Director (in-charge), Centre for Differently Abled Persons, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu and Dr. Mary George Varghese, Assistant Professor of Education, College of Arts Education and Social Sciences, Abu Dhabi University, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Various papers will be presented on Sustainable Strategies in Education, Innovative Pedagogy for Inclusive Learning, Technology for Equitable Access, Environmental Sustainability, Value-based and Peace-oriented Sustainability, Professional Development for Practitioners and Innovative Strategies for Entrepreneurship.
