Photo expo by Military Veterans Assn.; and talk by Yuva Brigade

Mysuru:  Military Veterans Welfare Association, Mysuru, together with NCC Group Head Quarters, Mysuru, has organised a function on July 26 at Kalamandira here at 4 pm to mark Kargil Vijay Diwas.

Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here yesterday, Brig.Vinod Kumar Adappa said that the function will be presided over by Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G. Sankar with former VC of University of Mysore Prof. S.N.Hegde as the chief guest.

He added that a photo exhibition of Martyrs and valiant war heroes, who had won gallantry awards from the President of India is also organised that day at Suchitra Art Gallery in Kalamandira premises.

Commander P. Lakshman, Major Shreedhar and others were present at the press meet.

Yuva Brigade

Yuva Brigade too has organised Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations at Jayamma Govindegowda Kalyana Mantap on Udayaravi Road in Kuvempunagar on the same day at 6.30 pm.

Chakravarti Sulibele, well-known Orator, will deliver a talk to commemorate 19 years of Kargil  victory.
