Online workshop for Hindi Teachers and Research Scholars at CIIL

Mysore/Mysuru: A five-day online Training-cum-Workshop on Testing and Evaluation for Assistant Professors, Lecturers and Research Scholars from all over India, began at National Testing Service-India (NTS-I) of Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru on Aug.17. 

Prof. P.R. Dharmesh Fernandez, Deputy Director CIIL and Head, NTS-I, introduced the activities of CIIL and emphasised on the importance of practice in item writing in understanding the concept of testing and evaluation. He advised every participant to make use of this rare opportunity provided by NTS-I. 

Dr. Pankaj Dwivedi, Lecturer-cum-Junior Research Officer (LJRO) & Officer In-charge, NTS-I, highlighted common problems faced by the students in facing their examinations and how to excel the syllabus, textbooks, methods of teaching etc., and how a teacher himself can make appropriate modifications or changes in his teaching  methodology. 

Dr. Biresh Kumar, Resource Person-Academic, welcomed and proposed a vote of thanks. 

Dr. Awadesh Kumar Mishra, Head, Department of Linguistics, The English & Foreign Languages University, Shillong Regional Campus, Shillong, Meghalaya and former Director of CIIL; Dr. Yogendranath Mishra, former Professor of Hindi, Sardar Vallabbhai Patel University, Anand, Gujarat; Dr. Sham Kishore Pandey, Asst. General Manager, Rajbhasha, Syndicate Bank, Bengaluru; Dr. Sarvesh Mourya, Asst. Professor of Hindi, Regional Institute of Education, Mysuru; NTS-I faculty Dr. Biresh Kumar, Dr.Sanjay Prasad Srivastava, Dr. M. Narayana Reddy, Dr. R. Shakunthala will train the participants together with external experts in various sessions of the workshop. They are also coordinating the workshop under the overall guidance of Prof. P.R. Dharmesh Fernandez and Dr. Pankaj Dwivedi. Prof. D. G. Rao, Director, CIIL, is overall patron of the workshop.

Fifty-five Assistant Professors, Teachers and Research Scholars, who are engaged in teaching and research of Hindi, Linguistics from various Universities, Colleges and Schools across India, are participating in this online training workshop, according to a press release.
