Pedestrian killed in road mishap

Mysuru: A pedestrian, who was crossing the road was killed when a goods vehicle rammed into him on Uttanahalli Ring Road here yesterday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Vasudevappa (77), a resident of Sarkari Uttanahalli in the taluk.

Vasudevappa, was crossing the Ring Road when a speeding Eicher goods vehicle rammed into him resulting in Vasudevappa being killed on the spot. The driver of the goods vehicle fled from the spot leaving the vehicle behind, said the Police.

Mysuru South SI Jayaprakash and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and have registered a case.
