Plea to provide proper roads

September 11, 2022

Sir,

I am a resident of Bank Employees Colony, off the Ring road, Bogadi. This Colony has come into existence more than twenty years ago and hundreds of residences are built here. But the tragedy is all the people are just managing and adjusting to live here without proper roads.

Except the 4th Main, which was tarred only four years ago, all the cross roads are not motorable and not even walkable.  Their condition is so pathetic, shabby, uneven and no words to describe during the rains!

All the owners are paying regular house tax to the MUDA till now and I still don’t know who is responsible to construct good roads in this Colony.

Only one city bus (Route 69 C, plying from city market to Bapuji Layout) passes through this Colony via the 4th Main.

Since all the other roads are in terrible condition,  4th Main is the only option for the motorists to go to different Layouts beyond our Colony.

I request the authorities concerned, be it MUDA, Corporation or Bogadi Village  Panchayat, or whatsoever, to construct at least a couple of good roads in this Colony to improve the connectivity to the Ring Road. I appreciate some reader requesting for city buses on the Ring Road. But unfortunately most of the Layouts situated beyond the Ring Road have shabby, uneven muddy roads. I do wonder whether we, living  beyond the great Ring Road, really belong to Swachha Mysuru City?

To make our dear Mysuru city number one Cleanest City, is it not our responsibility to have absolutely neat, tarred roads big, or small, lanes or bylanes ?

Hope the authorities will definitely think about this as Dasara is round the corner.
