Mysuru: The long wait for the site aspirants of R.T. Nagar is finally coming to an end.
The Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) is preparing the provisional list of the aspirants on seniority basis to distribute the sites. In all, there are 1,760 sites of different dimensions in R.T. Nagar (Rabindranath Tagore Nagar).
The MUDA officials are perusing the applications and the documents of the site aspirants and once again revising it before preparing the list. In another four days, the provisional list will be announced, said MUDA Chairman D. Dhruvakumar, speaking to Star of Mysore.
If there are any discrepancies in the provisional list announced, then the aspirants can file objections within ten days. The objections will be scrutinised and if found correct then a final list will be prepared.
The MUDA Commissioner and the Secretary have been tasked to prepare the list keeping the seniority as the yardstick. If there are any discrepancies in the list, then these two officials will be held fully responsible, said Dhruvakumar.
There are four categories of sites in R.T. Nagar — corner sites, CA sites, odd sites and commercial sites — that will total to 2,270 sites.
Out of this, 1,760 are in the residential category for which provisional list will be announced. In this, there are 645 20×30 sites, 731 30×40 sites, 312 40×60 sites and 72 80×50 sites.
Cost fixed: The cost of 20×30 site is Rs. 1,36,000, 30×40 — Rs. 3,80,000, 40×60 — Rs.10,1,000 and 50×80 — Rs. 19,01,000. Out of the 1,760 sites, 75 sites will be distributed to land-loser farmers.
The remaining odd sites and corner sites will be sold through auction, while the CA sites will be distributed to Trusts and organisations according to the rules, said Dhurvakumar.
four days is over, is any information available on this issue?
At least they are “consistant” with their lack of commitments and promises. It baffles me on how “openness” is exemplified on collecting the application amount 6/7 years ago, where the government sits on it and collects interest with no intimation to those struggling families. When asked by the applicants on the status the employees have the audacity to respond with a “you can apply for refund if you can’t wait”. There is absolutely no hope for a common man for these things to change and hence my sarcasm on the consistency part.
It will also not surprise me if half of these sites are allocated to those that are “connected”, in the leaderships mind it is justified that the ones that were not fortunate will receive their refund. Ha ha ha
