Mysore/Mysuru: The City Police have arrested two persons for a youth’s murder. And the reason for the killing is a row over bringing customers to a massage parlour on a commission basis. The youth, an auto driver by profession, was murdered on the night of July 21 and the arrests were made on July 27. 

The Police have given the names of the accused as Kiran, 29 of Subhash Nagar and Dileep, 34 from Thandekere near K.R. Pet taluk in Mandya.

Darshan, aged 20 years and a resident of Hootagalli, was driving an auto for a living. He was found stabbed near the vegetable market, SBI Main Road in Hebbal on July 21 at about 8.30 pm and found lying in a pool of blood. Though a Garuda team that was passing by near the area rescued Darshan, he breathed his last on the way to a hospital. Later, the Hebbal Police registered a murder case and tracked down the culprits. 

The motive behind the murder was professional differences as Darshan used to bring customers to massage parlours at Mysore Hotel Complex. After bringing customers, the massage parlours used to pay commission to Darshan and a row over commission erupted between Darshan, Kiran and Dileep. Police said that Kiran owned a massage parlour at Mysore Hotel Complex and Dileep was a worker there. 

Based on the call records of Darshan, the Police were able to establish that Darshan was murdered by people known to him. Accordingly, the Police was able to arrest both from the Sub-urban Bus Stand on Tuesday. 

After intense grilling, they confessed to the crime and told the Police that they had murdered Darshan as a fight broke out between them over commission. They revealed that on July 21, they had brought Darshan to Hebbal and stabbed him.  

A Police team led by ACP (N.R. Sub-Division) M. Shivashankar cracked the case. The team included Inspector T. Cheluvegowda, PSI Kiran Arjun Hampiholi, ASI Anil K. Shankpal and Ramesh, Suresh and Gopal. They investigated the case under the guidance of DCP (Law and Order) Dr. A.N. Prakash Gowda and DCP (Crime and Traffic) M.S. Geetha.
