Mysuru: R.N. Ramesh, employee of CSIR- CFTRI, Mysuru, emerged runner-up in the 55+ category of the All India Senior Tennis Championship held at Jaipur in Rajastan from Oct.3 to 7.

He defeated V. Shankar (Hyderabad) 6-2,4-6, 10-8 in the quarter-finals and Meghanath 6-2, 6-3 in the semifinals.

However, Ramesh lost to Srinivas Reddy 2-6,3-6 in the finals and secured runner-up position.
