Seating arrangements at Mysore Palace and Bannimantap Grounds

Mysuru: With the grand Dasara procession set to take place on Sept.30, Deputy Commissioner (DC) D. Randeep, who is also the Dasara Special Officer, this morning announced the seating arrangements for Dasara gold card, ticket and pass holders at the Palace premises and Torchlight Parade Grounds at Bannimantap on Sept. 30.

Addressing a press meet at the Palace Board office, Randeep said that 1,000 gold cards and 3,000 tickets have been sold this year and the revenue earned out of this is Rs. 8 lakh.  Pointing out that all gold card, ticket and pass holders should strictly follow the instructions printed on the respective cards, he said a total of 25,400 seats are made available inside the Palace, with entry from multiple gates, the details of which are as follows:

Entry from Gate Nos. 5 & 6 (Amba Vilas Gate): Those entering from Gate No.5, should have to take their seats in  enclosures A and B and those entering from Gate No.6, should take their seats in enclosures C, D and D1.

The vehicle parking facility for those entering from Gate No. 5 and 6 is at Parking Zone No.4 near Amba Vilas Gate.  Those entering from Gate No. 4 and 4A, will have to take their seats in enclosures E and F. The vehicle parking facility is at Parking Zone No.2 near Varaha Gate.

Those entering from Gate Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 3A, will have to take their seats in enclosures G and N (Gate-3A), H (Gate-2), J (Gate-1) and J1 (Gate-2). The vehicle parking facility is at Parking Zone No. 1 at Doddakere Maidan.

Those entering from Gate No. 7 (Karikallu Thotti Gate), will have to take their seats in enclosure L and those entering from Gate No. 8 (Brahmapuri Gate) will have to take their seats in enclosure M. The vehicle parking facility is at Doddakere Maidan.

Seating at Bannimantap Grounds: The DC said that 26,200 seats are made available in Bannimantap Grounds and the entry details are as follows:

Those entering from Gate No. 2 (entry from Bal Bhavan side) will have to take their seats in enclosure B. The vehicle parking facility is at Parking Zone No. 3 which is inside the gate.

Those entering from Gate No. 3 (entry from Nelson Mandela Road side) should take their seats at enclosure C. The vehicle parking facility is at Parking Zone No. 4, marked inside Gate No. 3. Those entering from Gate No. 4 (entry from Nelson Mandela Road side) should take their seats in enclosure D. The vehicle parking facility is at Parking Zone No. 5, marked inside Gate No. 5.

Those entering from Gate No. 5 (entry from Nelson Mandela Road side), should take their seats in enclosures E and F. The parking facility for entrants is at Parking Zones No. 6 and 7.

Those entering from Gate No. 6 (entry from Nelson Mandela Road side) should take their seats in enclosure G. The parking facility is at Parking Zone No. 12 near St. Philomena’s College.

Those entering from Gate Nos 7 and 9 (entry from Mysuru-Bengaluru Road) should take their seats in enclosures H, J and L. The parking facility is at Parking Zone No. 12 near St. Philomena’s College.

Those entering from Gate No. 10 (entry from Mysuru-Bengaluru Road side) should take their seats in enclosure M. The vehicle parking facility is Parking Zone No. 13 near St. Mathias School.

Those entering from Gate No. 11 (entry from Mysuru-Bengaluru Road side), should take their seats in enclosures N and O. The vehicle parking facility is at Parking Zone No. 13 near St. Mathias School.

Those entering from Gate No. 12 (entry from Hanumanthanagar Road side) should take their seats in enclosures P, Q, R and S. The vehicle parking facility is at Parking Zone No. 1 marked inside Gate No. 1. Bandobust

The DC said that over 5,000 Police personnel from different Police wings including KSRP, CAR, DAR, Bomb Disposal Squad, Dog Squad, Internal Security etc. will be deployed along the Dasara procession route and Bannimantap Torchlight Parade Grounds. Also, random checking of vehicles is being done at public joints such as Railway Station, Bus Stands etc., and at other crowded junctions as a precautionary measure, he said.

Randeep further said that the pass holders are advised to occupy their seats in the Palace by 12.30 pm.
