Mysuru; The trekkers who successfully participated in the Nari Shakti expedition organised by Tiger Adventure Foundation (TAF) were felicitated for their ascent on Mt Baradasar Pass from April 18-May 2 at a glittering ceremony held recently at The ARENA Banquet Hall, Oyster Bay, in Vijayanagar.
C. Shikha, IAS, Director, Depaetment of PU Education, who felicitated the trekkers, appreciated the efforts of TAF in training the all-women’s team.
Recalling her training days at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration at Mussorie where they also went for a similar expedition like this in Kumaon Region, she said the women coming from different walks of life and successfully scaling Mt. Baradasar Pass was really commendable.
Earlier, Riya Solanki, team leader welcomed. Suma Mahesh, Trustee, gave a brief about the Nari Shakti. Chandni Kushalappa compered.
Sharing their experience, Dr Sudha Rudraiah said this was a big breakthrough in her life and it gave her more confidence. Stella Pandhare, mother of Dr. Sunaina Pandhare, said parents should give their wards wings to fly.

Hemalatha, Dr. Savitha Ramesh, Dr. Sudha Rudraiah, Dr. V.S. Kalavathi, Dr. M.Rani, Dr. Sunaina Pandhare, Kalpana Seervi, H. Manasvi, Nidhie Balaji, Nirmala Matapathi, Pratibha Garla, Rani Narendra, Rashmi Battapate, Riya Solanki, H.C. Shaila, H. Shree Chaithra, Siri Balaji, Suma Mahesh, K.B. Sujith Kumar and Vaibhav Moudgal.
