Six dead in separate incidents

Mysuru:  As many as six persons died in separate incidents that occurred in the city and district on Thursday.

While two persons committed suicide, two pedestrians were killed in road mishaps and two others, who are said to be beggars, died of ailments.

Octogenarian Nachimuthu was crossing Sahukar Channaiah Road in Saraswathipuram, when a two-wheeler knocked him down. A seriously injured Nachimuthu was rushed to K.R. Hospital, where he breathed his last sometime later.

The K.R. Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard.

In another mishap, Dandanayaka (40), a resident of Nadanahalli in Mysuru taluk, was crossing the Mysuru-Hunsur Highway at K.R. Nagar junction near Bilikere, when he was fatally knocked down by a speeding car coming from Hunsur side.

The Bilikere Police have registered a case in this regard.

An unidentified man was found hanging from a tree at an isolated place near Belavadi Junction on Hunsur Road. The Vijayanagar Police have registered a case in this regard.

In another incident, Mallesh (45), a resident of Bapujinagar, committed suicide by hanging self at his residence.

Mallesh, who was said to be an alcoholic, ended his life when other family members had gone out, it is learnt.

A 60-year-old man, said to be a beggar, was found dead on the footpath near Ranjit Theatre  on B.N. Road. The man is 5.7 feet tall, medium built and is dark in complexion.

In another incident, a 70-year-old man, said to be a beggar, was found dead along the Ring Road near APMC Market.
