Sporting activity

May 21, 2018

Academic success is certainly important in the present times. However, encouraging and supporting a child’s skill and instinct in sports would be beneficial too. Sport activities is most often seen as a hobby or for maintaining good health and most often it has not been viewed as a possible career option. Sport and leisure activity in many homes is often a focus only during the school vacations and not on a regular basis.

From the Feng Shui perspective, movement of energy known as “Chi” is vital for the well-being of occupants in a home. The same logic can be extended to the human body as movement of energy is vital in maintaining good mental and physical well-being.

Trekking, cycling and gym activities are often weekend or leisure activity and in case of some individuals, gym and fitness is more for maintaining well-being.

Achieving success in sports is easier said than done. Professional sporting activates are quite popular in present times and there are many Sports Academies and Training Centres to offer training and impart professional skills to enable the individuals to succeed.

However, if the child can be groomed and in addition to the academics, if sports activities could be encouraged, it not only creates a healthy habit and discipline but makes the child well-prepared for even taking professional sporting as a vocation.

Training the child to harness and make the most use of Chi energy would enable the child to gear up and gain a greater amount of satisfaction from the sport that they play. However, it should be such that it does not drain the child off the positive energy.

To encourage and empower a child’s sporting activity, it is important to focus on the child’s bedroom Feng Shui.

  • Take off unwanted electrical equipments and devices form the child’s room.
  • Place an alarm clock in child’s room and ensure the child has the habit of setting alarm for their next day wake up and routines.
  • Avoid metal beds in child’s room.
  • Take away reflective surfaces and mirrors inside the room.

For those other than children, who wish to pursue career in sports, enhance your personal level of health, which will automatically enhance your sports abilities. The centre of your home is associated with good balance of energy and in turn good health. Hence, making these sectors vibrant will enhance the personal health which would support the sporting activities.

  • Décors and colours in shades of Earth tones and shades of yellow will boost the energy in this sector.
  • Keep wooden objects and decor which resemble tree trunks away from the centre sector of the house.
  • Place décor like yellow flowers or small live plants in the centre sector.

Apart from the above, ensure that the sporting equipments are stored away properly and not thrown around in the bed room. Avoid storing bats, ball and sporting shoes under the bed. Sports equipment that are used in competitive sports can bring an element of adversarial negativity to the space and in turn influence the occupant to become aggressive and stressed.
