Transgender activist inaugurates Ganeshotsava at Madhava Krupa
Mysore/Mysuru: “Today’s younger generation is increasingly drawn towards western culture and lifestyle, which is a matter of concern,” said noted entrepreneur and transgender activist Dr. Anita Prasad.
She was speaking after inaugurating Sri Madhava Krupa Ganeshotsava celebrations by lighting a giant agarbathi at Lakshmipuram on Wednesday.
Emphasising that youths must follow Swadesha (nation), Swadharma (faith) and Swasamskruti (culture), Dr. Prasad said, “The value of our life must be ‘Nation First’. Swadesha, Swadharma and Swasamskruti are always supreme. They will survive only if our younger generation follows them. In this context, celebrating Ganeshotsava becomes very significant.”
She further added, “Serving the nation and protecting religion is our duty. This must become a part of our lives.”

Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar said that Ganeshotsava is not merely a festival but an important occasion for strengthening social organisation.”

Entrepreneur and philanthropist Dr. Jagannath Shenoy said that Ganeshotsava is an inseparable part of India’s culture.
Dr. Lakshminarasimhan, noted Physician and President of Madhava Krupa Ganeshotsava Committee, RSS Sampark Pramukh Darshan Raj, Rakesh, R. Vasudev Bhat and several others were present.
