Outgoing SP Seema Latkar told not to take charge as City Police Commissioner till further orders
Mysore/Mysuru: N. Vishnuvardhana, who was serving as the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Uttara Kannada district, took charge as the SP of Mysuru district from outgoing SP Seema Latkar, who has been transferred as the Police Commissioner of Mysuru city as per the Government order dated July 2, 2024.
Meanwhile, sources said that Seema Latkar, who was supposed to take charge as Mysuru City Police Commissioner from outgoing Commissioner Ramesh Banoth, has not received any written directions from the Government and only oral instruction has been given to her to not to take the charge till further order.
Sources added that the movement order issued to Ramesh Banoth states that he has to hand over the charge and only then move from the present post and hence the transferred City Police Commissioner will stay in the present post till a designated officer relieves him.
Meanwhile, when Star of Mysore asked former SP Seema Latkar as to when she will be taking charge as the City Police Commissioner, she said that she would inform later.
