K.R. Nagar: The body of a 32-year-old woman was found in Maragowdanahalli Lake in K.R. Nagar taluk this morning. The deceased has been identified as Ashwini, wife of Girish of Maragowdanahalli.

Ashwini was married to Girish eight years ago. But domestic disharmony surfaced after a couple of years, with the couple quarrelling over trivial issues, it is learnt.

Ashwini’s parents in a complaint lodged with K.R. Police, have alleged that Girish had killed their daughter and had thrown the body into the lake.

Meanwhile, Girish has gone absconding. K.R. Nagar Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
