March 20, 2017

Mandya JD(S) MP C.S.Puttaraju has claimed that former Congress MP A.H. Vishwanath, who is upset with the Congress, will soon join the JD(S).

Addressing party workers at Srirangapatna TB here yesterday, Puttaraju said he and Vishwanath were good friends and used to discuss various issues whenever they met.

Stating that Vishwanath had advised him on several issues, Puttaraju said Vishwanath had told him that he would take a firm stand on joining the JD(S) in April.

Foreseeing a political configuration in the State after the Nanjangud and Gundlupet by-poll in April, the MP claimed that leaders from different political parties were willing to join the JD(S).

Referring to the party’s new headquarters at Bengaluru, Puttaraju said the opening of the new party office will pave way for strengthening the party’s organisation.

Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Marithibbegowda, JD(S) Mandya District President D. Ramesh, MLC Appajigowda and others were present.
