916 vehicles seized for violating lockdown guidelines in four days

Mysore/Mysuru: Continuing their drive against COVID lockdown offenders, Mysuru City Police, who conducted checking drives on May 30 and 31, June 1 and 2, have seized a total of 916 vehicles which were found flouting the guidelines to initiate legal action.

Among the seized vehicles are 780 two-wheelers, 121 cars, 11 auto-rickshaws and four other vehicles. While 138 two-wheelers, 29 cars and two other vehicles were seized on May 30, 114 two-wheelers and 20 cars were seized on May 31.

On June 1, the Cops seized 299 two-wheelers, 35 cars, eight auto-rickshaws and two other vehicles, while on June 2, they seized 229 two-wheelers, 37 cars, three auto-rickshaws and four other vehicles.

City Police Commissioner  Dr. Chandragupta has urged the public to co-operate with the Police by not moving around unnecessarily.
