Mysuru: The ATM College of Engineering on Bannur Road has got the NBA (National Board of Accreditation) accreditation in a very short period of time, said ATME College of Engineering President L. Arun Kumar.
Addressing a press conference at a private hotel in city recently, he said ATME College of Engineering was started in the year 2010 and it has been recognised for accreditation. This is the college that has gained this recognition in such a short period of time. As a result of this accreditation, the college and students are going to be benefited in many ways, he added.
Out of the 227 Engineering Colleges in the State, only 29 Colleges have got this recognition and among them is ATME College. This will help the students get opportunities for higher studies. Similarly, the College will become eligible for many grants which in turn will help improve the standards of education, he added.
The College has adopted a Government School near the College and it is being provided with basic facilities and free computer training is being given to its students. The College has all modern amenities with well-equipped labs and digital classrooms, he explained.
In order to encourage talented students under the ‘ATME-Vidyasare’ scheme, students who have got very high marks in PUC or in CET are being given free education under the management quota for all the four years. Along with this, transport facility is also provided, he said.
