2 injured in assault at Hunsur

Two ‘Harikathe Dasas’ Kalaiah and Basavaiah were allegedly assaulted by Rangegowda of Karimuddanahalli village in the taluk last night for asking remuneration for reciting Harikathe during the death ceremony of Rangegowda’s mother. The two injured, who are being treated at Town General Hospital, have lodged a complaint with Bilikere Police.

Stray dogs attack children: Devour a goat, hens

  Two children were injured in an attack by stray dogs at Razaq Layout in town yesterday. The stray dogs are said to have also devoured a goat and injured four hens. The residents, worried about the stray dog menace, have urged the Municipal authorities to take remedial steps.
