Mysore Winter Races 2021-22 to begin tomorrow

After seven months, the Mysore Race Club (MRC) Ltd. will resume racing activities — The Mysore Winter Races 2021-22 — from tomorrow (Oct. 20). There will be 20 days of racing which will conclude on Mar. 1, 2022.

MRC Chairman & Senior Steward Y.B. Ganesh has stated in a press release that “In view of the financial crisis which the Club has been passing through since the beginning of the pandemic, the Club has perforce to reduce the stake money. The total stakes including trophies for the advertised Mysore Winter Races 2021-22 is in the region of Rs.2.75 crore. Needless to say, that as and when the finances of the Club improves substantially, only then the Club would be in a position to consider restoring the stakes to its original level.”

TRACK: The track has been maintained with utmost care and the underfoot condition is expected to be good for the whole season.

RACING: About 400 horses are expected to participate during the season and the following Trainers have been licenced by MRC to train during Mysore Winter Races 2021-22: M. Bobby, Prashanth Pawar, G.T. Surender, Bipin V. Salvi, Poorna Chandra Tejaswi, G. Srinivas Babu, S.M. Johnson, Md. Sajid Qureshi, Vikram Appachu, Dinesh Pujar, C. Girinath, Vishal Yadav, M. Eshwer, Rakesh, Ranjeet Shinde, S. Santosh Rao, C.D. Monappa and Pratap M. Kamath.

TOTALIZATOR POOLS: Ticket for Win, Place, Second Horse Pool, Third Horse Pool, Quinella, Forecast, Trinalla, Treble and Jackpot pools is Rs. 10.

RATE OF ADMISSION: The entrance charges are fixed at Rs.100.
