Mysuru DC Randeep transferred

March 8, 2018

Vijayapura DC K.B. Shivakumar is new Mysuru DC

Bengaluru:  Within 48 hours of withdrawing the previous notification transferring IAS officers,  the State government issued a fresh notification yesterday transferring 12 officers, including Mysuru Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep and Hassan DC Rohini Sindhuri Dasari.

While Sindhuri has been transferred as Commissioner of Department of Employment and Training in Bengaluru, Randeep has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Hassan. Sindhuri was transferred along with six other IAS officers on Jan. 22. The Election Commission raised objection to the transfer of officers engaged in the revision of electoral rolls till Feb. 28.

Following the objection, the transfer order was put on hold. The Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms issued a notification on Mar. 5 withdrawing the transfer of five of the seven IAS officers, who were transferred as per the Jan. 22 notification.

Rohini Sindhuri was transferred within eight months of her posting in Hassan. A section of Congress leaders including A. Manju, Minister In-charge of Hassan district, had urged Chief Minister Siddharamaiah to transfer her from the district.

When her transfer order was issued on Jan. 22, JD(S) leaders, including former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, had criticised the government, alleging that she was being transferred as she did not allow corruption in the execution of civil works related to Mahamastakabhisheka. Leaders of the BJP had  also staged protests opposing her transfer.

As per the new notification, B.B. Cauvery, former Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Kolar, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Chamarajanagar district. S.B. Shettennavar, Director, Directorate of Ground Water, Bengaluru, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Vijayapura district while K.B. Sivakumar, who held the post until now, will assume the post of Dy. Commissioner, Mysuru.
