Mysore/Mysuru: Prasanna N. Gowda filed his nomination papers as the candidate of KRRS, AAP, Dalit, Swaraj India and other progressive organisations for the Legislative Council polls from South Graduates Constituency, at the Regional Commissioner’s (RC) Office on Hunsur road here yesterday.
He was accompanied by KRRS President Badagalapura Nagendra and writer Devanur Mahadeva. Earlier, Prasanna Gowda addressed a massive public rally at Town Hall and marched in a procession to the RC Office for filing nomination.
DSS leaders Guruprasad Keragodu and Bettaiah Kote, activists Ugranarasimhegowda, Mahesh Prabhu, K.T. Govindegowda, Kempugowda, Saragur Nataraj, Bandalli Somanna, Krishnappa, Bettegowda, Raghu, Hosur Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
Former MLA and Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha Founder Vatal Nagaraj too filed his nomination as an independent candidate at the RC’s Office yesterday accompanied by leader Thayur Vittala Murthy. Vatal said he has entered the fray in order to fight corruption. Charging the BJP, Congress and JD(S) of indulging in corruption, he said that the Legislative Council and the Assembly should not become a joint for corrupt leaders.
