Two painters suffer burns

Mysore/Mysuru: Two painters suffered burn injuries when the iron rod they were holding came in contact with a hi-tension power line at Raghavendranagar in city at about 9.30 am today.

The injured have been identified as Siddaraju and Manoj, both residents of Alanahalli. While Siddaraju sustained severe burns, Manoj escaped with minor injuries. Both have been admitted to K.R. Hospital here. The condition of Siddaraju is said to be critical.

Inspector of Nazarbad Police Station Mahadevaswamy and staff who rushed to the spot summoned Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) officials.

A case has been registered and investigation is on.
