MLA assures house for every family

August 29, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: Very small houses in which at least a couple of families lived together in congestion, caught the special attention of KR MLA S.A. Ramdas when he undertook a padayatra in MCC Wards 56 and 60 covering Ashokapuram area coming under his Assembly segment on Thursday.

The MLA assured the families that he will take measures for providing separate houses to the poor families under the Pradhan Mantri Awaz Yojna.

Ramdas, during his padayatra, heard grievances from the people in Ashokapuram area. He later visited Containment Zones in the locality and distributed immunity booster Ayush Kits to the families of 27 persons who are infected with COVID-19.

Thereafter, he garlanded the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at Ambedkar Park and displayed the order releasing Rs. 3 lakh each for Ashokapuram Chikka Garadi development and renovation of Siddappaji Temple.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that Aaradhana Samiti has released Rs. 1 lakh each for renovation of Rama Mandir on Ashokapuram Sixth Cross, Shambulingeshwara Temple on First Cross and Katthi Muneshwara Temple on Thirteenth cross.

Directing the officials to prepare the estimate at the earliest for renovation of these temples, he asked them to construct footpaths on both sides of Ambedkar Main Road and to address Under-Ground Drainage  (UGD) and drinking water issues of the locality.

Replying to complaints from some residents residing on roads coming between Ashokapuram First and Thirteenth Cross that they were facing a lot of hardship due to non-availability of  their property records, Ramdas instructed the officials to hold a camp at Ambedkar Park after the COVID-19 crisis ends and distribute the needed records to owners.
