Neeraj Chopra sets new National Record

India’s ace javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra set a new national record as he threw 89.30 metres at Paavo Nurmi Games in Finland yesterday. Chopra’s earlier national record was 88.07m which he had set in Patiala in March last year. He had won the Tokyo Olympics gold with a throw of 87.58m on August 7, 2021….

Mini Olympics U-14 Football Tournament: Mysuru finishes runners-up

Mysuru U-14 football team finished runners-up in the Mini Olympics Games which was held at Bengaluru Football Stadium recently. In the first match, Mysuru beat Vijayapura district with an impressive scoreline of  13-0. The second match was a nail-biting contest against Belagavi  where Mysuru scored a last minute equaliser and secured a well-deserved 2-2 draw….

S.S. Nagamma (86), wife of late Dr. K.P. Nagaraje Gowda and a resident of Vontikoppal here, passed away last night following age-related ailments. She leaves behind son, daughters, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at Chirashantidhama in Gokulam this afternoon.
