Rajashekarmurthy (67), retired Assistant Sub-Inspector and a resident of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Nagar, passed away on Friday in city. He leaves behind his wife, one son, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at his native place Kallipura village in T.Narasipur taluk on Saturday.

Nayakanda Parvathy (Nellira), wife of late Naya-kanda Chengappa and a resident of Vijayanagar, passed away yesterday afternoon in city. She was 84. She leaves behind two sons Prakash and Dada, daughter Radha (Chemira), daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grand-children and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at Chirashanthidhama in Gokulam this afternoon.

Applications invited for tarpaulin subsidy

The Agriculture Department has invited applications from eligible farmers for availing subsidy for tarpaulin under the agricultural products processing scheme.
