Mysuru: In the backdrop of Republic Day, the State Government has recommended the Governor for release of 109 prisoners lodged in various jails of the State, for showing good conduct. The 109 recommended prisoners, include 19 who are lodged in the city Central Jail, according to sources.

Forest Watcher injured in elephant attack
January 18, 2018Kushalnagar: Ponnappa, a Forest Watcher on duty at Athur Reserve Forest near here, has been injured when a wild elephant attacked him on Tuesday.
